Compliance

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is a valued support unit of the College and its constituencies that collects, analyzes, and disseminates essential information about Saint Augustine’s College. Its vision is to be recognized within the College for its proactive leadership in promoting a culture of assessment. In addition, it serves as a primary source of information and assistance for planning and policy development.

Mission

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness plays a leadership role in the support and enhancement of ongoing institutional planning processes and assessment at Saint Augustine’s College. More specifically, its mission is:

To assist with accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation processes through the provision of data and resources
To provide information essential to decision making at all levels of the institution
To make recommendations based upon data analysis and interpretation
To conduct research (self-initiated or by request) to uncover facts, provide explanations, or propose long and short range solutions and/or projections
To prepare reports as required or appropriate

Goals

To increase the efficiency and effectiveness with which accreditation, assessment, program review, and annual progress reporting are achieved
To collaborate with units in the development of strategies to meet unit assessment objectives
To contribute fundamental information and resources to evaluation processes
To generate, collect, and distribute data to appropriate units
To promote and support the continual professional development of OIE staff in order to apply best practices to the operation of the OIE office and its services

Accreditation: Saint Augustine’s College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate degrees.
